Also known as Cannonau, Garnacha, Garnacha Tinta, Garnatxa
Ripe and warm. Red berries, a little spice and often a fair bit of alcohol. It is the backbone of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and much of southern Rhône, and it does most of the work in Spanish Garnacha and Sardinian Cannonau as well. Makes good rosé too.
